white January..

I was at my uncle and aunt's place when it was snowing pretty much in January. We were worried that the highway to Bristol will be closed due to the heavy snow. But thank goodness I made it back in one piece, and so did my uncle and aunt. So, the day before we left to Bristol, we decided to make a snowman since there's so much snow, and let's not put it to waste!
However, the snow was too cold and couldnt be compressed to build into a large snowman..so, we had no choice but to pile it up only. It was not meant to be short and fat!

Wassup, snowman!

Myself, although i think its a bit too dark!

The view form my uncle's back garden. Everything looks so white and nice!

Christmas, 2009

It's been a while since I saw a beautiful Christmas tree with quite a few presents at the bottom of the tree.

Last year's Christmas was something different. For a start, we had an early dinner which is around 3pm. It was a great evening, and the food was great. Preparation was quite exhausting, but thank goodness with my sister's help and of course my aunt's efficient cooking, we managed to have a wonderful evening. Below is the blueberry cheesecake i made (with my aunt's guidance) But i thought the base was a little too buttery.

The 4kg turkey. It was really good. 4 kg turkey, but its not way too much for the 8 of us. We had some leftovers and had turkey soup, and turkey sandwiches the next day.

I have to give credit to my uncle who set the table. It was wonderful!

Below: Uncle Terry, Aunty Molly and Uncle Jack

Endless bottles of drinks throughout the 12 days of Christmas!

Lastly, my all time favourite picture of my uncle trying to be funny! :-)

I managed to spend loads of time with my family especially my cousins too! It was nice, something really different! I have to say, its different compared to Msia, but I guess it is a bigger thing here! This was my Christmas in UK. What about yours? <3

unhappy new year!!

Well, I have been taking pictures at my aunt's place from christmas eve onwards. I must say, it is very different compared to how i used to celebrate christmas back in Malaysia. So soon, and it is new year eve tomorrow.
Another emo day for me..
Someone says, it is a must to celebrate with your love one on new year's eve and when the clock strikes 12 on new year's day, u turn to your love one and kiss him; whispering 'Happy new year' to each other.

This year, my new year will be at my aunt's place. I have no mood whatsoever to do anything, to be honest. Probably just bum around in the house.. Sigh, im probably the grinch and what do u call a person who hates new year?

Anyway, will update photos tomorrow, alright? Happy new year, everyone! Its 2010!

My all time favourite ice cream. This is from Mcdonalds, after eight ice cream. Can only get this ice cream during christmas. Absolutely wonderful.

Had a great time with Geraldine. We couldn't resist it and had another round of ice cream again 2 days later..although its freezing cold and snowing a lot in Bristol.

A breathe of freedom..

Finally, when the first assignment was over..all of us were relieved. Some went clubbing that very night to release stress, some just went over to friend's place and stuff..For me..of course food and shopping. Shopping is my therapy. Well, of course before shopping, I have to make sure my tummy is filled..hehe! So, Milo decided to join me to do some shopping too. We went to Tompopo to have chinese food there. Ahh, a relieve...finally, chinese food.

Ok, this is not chinese but vietnamese roll.

Milo had the Malaysian Char Kueh Teow

I had the Indonesia fried rice, extra spicy. woohoo!

A picture of Milo..

...and myself
Milo claims that he put on weight..and i am sure my face do look a tad bit chubbier.

The German market..although i couldnt get a good picture of it. Will definitely be going to city again this week, and will try to take a better picture ok? Weather is getting so much colder now. Apparently, it will be snowing end of this year. Hmm, im not too sure if i am looking forward to that or not.

Haha! Milo face cant be seen. Sorry...will take a better picture, ok?

Was watching Ghost Whisperer online..I can't believe David Conrad died! I cried my eyes out and cursed Melinda Gordon for producing such movie and killing her own husband! Sigh...ok, might skip to another series now..probably might just start with Ugly Betty.

Still another 3 days till my classes ends. I still have a lot more to catch up and do before the holidays especially the fact that my sister is coming over to visit me. In January, I will be having 2 assessments, 2 assignments due..I have no idea how on earth am I gonna do it, but i have to do it! Till then, will keep u guys posted and more pictures next week, ok? Will be going for buffet this Friday! Yippee...

P/S: Yes, i know...im putting on weight and still eating..stupid weather! ;-P

Kat's 21st birthday!

Kat's 21st was something unforgettable and definitely different. Well, for a start, i went all the way to London for a day trip to celebrate her birthday with her and friends. Second of all, she decided to hire a limo!! Well, it was a surprise to Val and Nat. So, I got to Val's place, and waited till 7pm, when the limo arrived with Kat, Richard, David (Kat's brother who came to visit), Joan and Nick. Of course we cam-whore in the limo, yelling at the people on the streets, have glass of champagne and saying hello to random people too. Well, what do u expect? We are in the limo, definitely have to show off a little, aight?!

Here are some pictures in the limo..

This is Kat and Richard..

They included balloons and champagne in the limo too.

Cheers, everyone!

So, we had the limo for an hour, and went to Bertorelli, Italian fine dining.

These are some of the food we had. Richard had tuna steak which apparently was quite good.

Risotto, and there's lots of scallop in it. Yummy!

Mussels with white wine.

Of course, Carbonara. What i love, and always order, right?

The almost group photo. (I was not in it)

Kat's birthday cake. Delicious!

Happy Birthday, Kat and I hope u had a lovely time. Sorry we couldnt get you the cake, and instead you had to get it with David and Richard. Cause Val was busy, and I am hopeless in London. Anyway, thanks again for everything, and I had a lovvveeeely time! Hugs and kisses.
